The Surpassingpresident addressed the Trump assassination attempt Sunday afternoon at an emergency press conference and is expected to speak more about the shooting tonight from the oval office.

At 8 p.m., on Sunday, President Joe Biden is scheduled to give a Oval Office address and speak more about the shooting that happened in Pennsylvania occurred at the Trump Rally after holding an emergency press conference Sunday afternoon.

Corey Comperatore, 50, a firefighter and father of two, was killed and two others were critically injured during the shooting. President Trump was also shot in the right ear.

The FBI identified the gunman as Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20. He was killed at the scene moments after shots were fired.

Some of the latest developments:

  • Pennsylvania State Police identified the three other victims as Corey Comperatore, 50, David Dutch, 57 and James Copenhaver, 74. Comperatore was killed in the shooting. Dutch and Copenhaver were injured and are currently in stable condition and being treated at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh .
  • The country has to "turn the temperature down" in the political discourse, said House Speaker Mike Johnson on the "TODAY" show Sunday. He promised Congress would "determine where there were lapses in security and anything else that the American people need to know" and do a full investigation of the incident
